AQUAPORIN ACQUIRES GOLGI ApS
Aquaporin expands by acquiring 100% of the share capital of Golgi ApS – the first company of its kind capable of large-scale production of the aquaporin protein, the key component of the Aquaporin Inside™ technology.
Golgi was founded in 2016 with Aquaporin A/S and Danica Pension as anchor investors. Golgi has in a record time established facilities capable of large-scale production of the membrane protein.
The supply of the aquaporin protein is essential to the Aquaporin Inside™ membranes, and with the acquisition of Golgi, Aquaporin takes full control of this critical part of the supply chain.
