The HFFO.6 hollow fiber FO module is ideal for proof of concept studies and performing lab-scale tests before scaling up production. Furthermore, it can be applied to a wide range of biomedical, wastewater, food & beverage, and analytical sample concentrations at smaller volumes. Compared to the larger HFFO2 membrane module’s 2.3 m2 active area, the HFFO.6 has an active area of 0.6 m2. This means lower feed and draw solution volumes are required for operation. The smaller hollow fiber module has the same inner and outer fiber diameter and housing material as its larger counterpart.
